The RBWH Foundation is the only charity linked to the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital – Queensland’s largest hospital and the largest teaching hospital in the Southern Hemisphere. The Foundation is not government funded and we rely on the generosity of private donors, businesses and community groups to enable our researchers to continue their life-saving work.

Established in 1985, the Foundation now funds a range of research that ultimately benefits more than one million men, women and babies each year. The RBWH is particularly recognised as research leaders in the fields of premature babies, burns, motor neurone disease, inflammatory bowel disease, lung cancer and ageing in women.

The Foundation believes that research is the key to improving patient care, medical treatment and survival rates for Queenslanders and patients throughout the world.
