welcome

The RBWH Foundation would like to thank everyone who supported the 2008 Butterfly Ball on Saturday 11 October. As a result of your generosity, we have raised well over $100,000 to help fund the Perinatal Research Centre's BRAIN Project to give babies the best start in life.

We would especially like to thank our sponsors (listed below), all the businesses and people who donated auction items and raffle prizes, and everyone who worked tirelessly to put the event together.

To view photos from the night visit www.studioimpressionsphotography.com click on the Butterfly Ball icon and enter your email address and the secure code 'Butterfly'. Profits from the sale of all prints taken at the 2008 Butterfly Ball will be donated back to the RBWH Foundation to support the BRAIN Project.

story

Butterflies have been revered by many cultures across the world over the centuries. Some believe that if you catch a butterfly and whisper your wish to it, that wish will come true. Some believe they are the symbols of the human soul. Some see them as symbols of joy and the essence of happiness. Some believe they stand for fragility, beauty and freedom. Most commonly they are seen as a symbol of rebirth, new beginnings and life.
